what a weekend..
brother's appreciation day worked out really well..
addis's birthday surprised was kinda fail because he got the
invitation for his own birthday surprise through sms,
but it was really nice :) he got blindfolded all the way to church,
i decorated the room, we switched off the lights and hid ourselves
and sung happy birthday in the dark with the lighted cake..
we shared and cried haha, we sang together..
went to ej's to catch a movie,
all of us feeling so happy
because we know each other for more than half our lives,
and some ever since we were born.
it was so fun..
and i feel like there is no place like church.
where all of us have a same purpose,
same struggles, same memories,
where we can act like totally buffoons
but still love each other so deeply,
and have conversations that go so deep,
where crying out our emotions doesn't mean we're weird,
where we won't give up on each other,
and help each other up when we're down,
where people actually remember your birthday,
and bother to write you cards,
and throw a surprise party just for you.
i can't even remember a time in my life
without church. it has always been there for me,
whether i liked it or not.


if only i was more knowledgable back then,
i would have answered that question without a doubt.
